[Release] 3DS Simple CIA Converter

After looking at how unnecessarily complicated current CIA converting methods are, I decided to write this tool. It's very simple and doesn't use Python or .NET Framework or any other programs and scripts, just my own code in a single exe file.

Is it possible to edit GBA VC Pokemon saves?

Searched for a few hours and couldn't really find anything on converting saves or editing them. Is it even possible? I know I'm a dirty rotten cheater, I just want to play around with my fire red save.

Sorry if this is in the wrong section, I honestly had no idea where to post this.

[RELEASE] Xenoblade Chronicles 3D Save Utility

This tool will allow you to compress and decompress Xenoblade Chronicles 3D saves (monado01, monado02, monado03, specialmode), allowing you to view and modify your saves. More functionality may come in the future, though I don't intend on making this a full-fledged save editor.


TODO: add conversion for Wii<->3DS saves (offsets are identical, needs to be mapped out for extensive endian-swapping), clean up compressor code (i guessss)

I made a Monster Hunter X quest editor that runs in your web browser :)
It's still very much a work in progress so it's still pretty limited (and ugly looking), but it works.

Current limitations:
  • Only works with decrypted DLC quests.
  • Many of the settings don't have very good descriptions.
  • Small monster info is left in hex because the format is unknown.
  • You have to use other software to proxy quests to the game.
  • Only tested in Firefox on Linux.

MHX Save Editing

MHX = Monster Hunter X cross game currently available only in Japanese stores/consoles(unless you got GW or CFW)...


...so MHX stores the saves on the SD as extradata! once they are dumped/exported the saves are completely decrypted and are ready to be edited with ur fav hex editor(no extra save encryption) use SDF(if CFW/GW) or extradatatool homebrew to extract the (System & System_Backup files) Game id is 00001554, all 3 profiles/saveslots are in the system/_backup file!...

.tarc File Extractor?

I wanted to poke around in the japanese Magician's Quest game for the 3DS. It's similar to animal crossing, but also has a magic system (assuming it's like the one we got here for the DS).
Most of the files are in a .tarc format, with the first 4 bytes spelling out "TBAF"
Does anyone know of an unpacker for this?

I can't inject save from VBA to GBC VC

I did a backup of Pokemon Crystal's save (I have 2 rmthing.dat, and sav.dat)
I can read sav.dat in VBA (even if I have a warning with something related to RTC) but if I want inject my save VBA -> VC, I got "SaveData corrupted"

How to inject saves from VBA to VC?
It's a VC injected, btw.
Same rom is used

This currently supports only Fire Emblem: Awakening save editing. Fire Emblem: Fates save editing support is being worked on. It's actively being worked as of April 2016. This post will be updated when the new update is released. DISCLAIMER:
The Uncensord version have the same TitleID as the clean game.
If you use the .3DS or .CIA, your save file will be overwritten, and erased.
So be sure to backup your current save BEFORE start the .3DS or install the .CIA.
You can of course inject back your save from the clean game on the uncensored version.
You'll continue your game on the uncensored version :D...

Is it possible use updates with a ROM hack if the update is modified?

So say I have a rom hack like Eternal X/Wilting Y or Neo X/Y and I want to play online which requires an update. Is it possible to patch the update to work with the hack? Eternal X and Wilting Y have a legal version which works with legit versions of the game but it require an update to play online right? I have seen modified updates of Neo X while google searching on piracy sites which leads me to believe that its possible. I want to avoid those sites though and would like to patch it...

Is it possible use updates with a ROM hack if the update is modified?

If you have a dump of tfh files.do you have the files StgSandQuebec.szs and StgSandRomeo.szs in your Archive folder, because im currently dumping models and I realized that I have only the Desert Temple (StgSandOscar) and Stone Corridors (StgSandNovember) archive files.

Finding a save that is decrypted is very difficult as most sites just give out .savs that are encrypted. This forum post is to help spread multiple save files that are decrypted so people that do not use gateway can install a save onto their 3DS. This also may help users with Citra, the experimental 3DS emulator so post any saves that may be helpful such as getting past Intro's and stuff!
Note:
All saves work regardless of region!

I might as well post this in its own thread since it's not FireEditor?

But yeah, I made a thing that edits saves.

NOTE: This only works on "Chapter" saves for now. It shouldn't matter whether you're saved on the battle prep screen or in your castle.
